Human imagination is undeniably powerful. And while a small handful of individuals may imagine a different narrative, for that narrative to be transformative, we need the collective to start mentally engaging with it as well. So, first of all, we need storytellers--lots and lots of them--to provide us with substantive, human stories of a completely different way of structuring and guiding our civilization. Some can work in the realm of fiction, of "what if?". But the more we can tell stories of real people doing real things that undermine, deny, and *transcend* the paradigm of capital and ownership and power-over-others--the more we tell stories of building structures of collectivism based on compassion and dignity and the good of all people and the planet--then the more we can create a resilient, persistent, and ultimately indestructible narrative tapestry that offers a humane and hopeful alternative to the only civilizational narrative most people currently have.

We need to get out of the realm of concepts and into the realm of "this is what your day-to-day life could look like if . . ." To dismantle an inhumane and destructive paradigm, we need a tangible, easily understandable alternative paradigm for people to shift to.

We need to seek out and find all the story creators and the story tellers who offer the collective a different way of imagining. Then we need to amplify and endlessly repeat their stories. Only when we've captured the collective imagination can we build a different collective reality.
